It all began by pure chance in the summer of 2020. Out of nowhere, a stranger named Alex from France sent me a WeChat friend request. I stared at the unfamiliar profile, thought about it for a moment, and decided to accept.
Our first conversation was about the rising prices of electronic components in Shenzhen. I honestly shared everything I knew about the situation at the time — the market trends, the shortages, the price surges. After that exchange, we didn’t stay in touch for a long while. There was no further contact, no small talk.

My heart skipped a beat. This was exactly my specialty!
From that moment on, everything changed. I began handling all kinds of small-batch orders for him: prototypes, limited runs, urgent custom jobs, tricky materials. No matter how small the quantity, I treated each one seriously.
Alex was always very sincere and straightforward. He would say things like:
“Right now, there are no large orders, but I hope there will be in the future.”
I just smiled and replied:
“No problem at all. As long as it’s within my ability, I’ll definitely do it.”
And just like that, five years passed in the blink of an eye.
