An RV LED Multi Controller PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is the compact electronic control board used in recreational vehicles (RVs, campers, motorhomes) to manage interior and exterior LED lighting systems. These boards typically operate on 12V DC (from the RV’s battery or power system), support multi-function control for single-color, RGB, RGBW, or CCT (tunable white) LED strips, and enable features like dimming, color changing, modes (fade, flash, strobe), timers, or even wireless/app control.

Description

Testing Procedure
  • Ensure S1 is in the leftward position (Power: Off).
  • Connect the wires from the Controller to the push pins on the LED and Control boxes using Figures 1, 2, and 3 of the Appendix.
  • Move S1 and S2 to the rightward position (Power: On, Mode: Camp).
  • Ensure both cyan LEDs on the Control box are powered on.
  • Press B1-B8 in succession and confirm the associated color listed in Table 1 of the Appendix lights up on the LED box.
  • Move S2 to the leftward position (Mode: Tow).
  • Ensure that both cyan LEDs on the Control box are powered off and that the LEDs on both the left and right side of the LED box are powered on and outputting an amber color.
  • Press and release B9 (Left Turn/Break) three times in quick succession and ensure that the LED on the left side of the LED box is powered off when B9 is pressed and powered on when B9 is released.  Repeat for B10 (Right Turn/Break), this time ensuring that the LED on the right side of the LED box follows the same behavior.
  • Press and hold B9 and B10 simultaneously and ensure that both LEDs on the LED box remain illuminated.
  • While still holding B9 and B10, release and repress B9 three times and ensure that the LED on the left side of the LED box is powered off when B9 is released and powered on when B9 is pressed.  Repeat for B10, this time ensuring that the LED on the right side of the LED box follows the same behavior.
  • Move S1 on the Control box to the leftward position and disconnect wires (Power: Off).
